The Aslak Chair is the piece that defined the house. A single ribbon of steam-bent ash curves from the floor, up the back, and down again in one continuous line — no joints, no fasteners, only the memory of the wood holding the sitter. Twelve coats of matte lacquer are levelled by hand between each pass until the surface reads as a single field of deep blue, uninterrupted by grain or gloss. It is built one at a time, against the order it was made for, and stamped with its code before it leaves the bench.
